How to Enjoy Kuromon Market
Many shops have small sit-down areas where you can eat the food you just bought. It’s fun to watch the chefs prepare your food right in front of you.
Pro Tip: After exploring the market, you can walk to Dotonbori in just 10 minutes! It’s the perfect route for a full day of Osaka food.
Access
- Station: A 2-minute walk from Nippombashi Station (Sennichimae Line / Sakaisuji Line).
Quick Tips for Travelers
- Best Time to Visit: Most shops open around 9:00 AM or 10:00 AM. I recommend visiting between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM for the best selection of lunch items.
- Trash Etiquette: Please don’t walk and eat with your trash. Most shops have trash cans, so please return your trash to the shop where you bought the food.
- Cash is King: While more shops are starting to accept credit cards, some smaller stalls still only take cash. Keep some coins and small bills handy!
